Online classes can be just as difficult as traditional college courses, sometimes even more so. In addition to the hardware and software requirements and learning to use them simply to attend the course, there is the added factor of self-discipline to complete the work. An online college degree program is difficult to complete because of the perseverance it requires. However, individual classes are often as difficult as those taught on campus.
Interestingly, the center found that students in hybrid classes, those that combined online teaching with a face-to-face component, performed as well academically as those in traditional classes. Your online class should include the same or similar material as a traditional class on the same subject. You can work toward your degree for more or less time than traditional college classes, and take advanced classes when you have time to devote to intense study. There are a few other factors to consider when deciding between in-person classes and online classes.
